Meet Hope

Sometimes comfort has four paws.

Hope is Dr. Chris Carreira’s Hungarian Vizsla and a certified therapy dog through St. John’s Ambulance. She is a valued part of the warm and welcoming environment at Carreira Psychology.

Hope is known for her calm, compassionate presence. When a client becomes emotional or begins to cry during a session, she may gently approach and rest her head in their lap, offering quiet comfort and grounding support.

Her natural empathy and steady companionship have made her a beloved part of the therapeutic experience for many clients. Hope’s presence is always gentle, optional, and guided by each client’s comfort level.
